John was born on June 29, 1926 and passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

John was a resident of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin at the time of passing.

John attended Country Day High School "Class of 1944/45".

He joined the US Navy to serve in the Pacific Theater as a Quarter Master Third Class.

Visitation: The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way in Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM following the visitation. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and because of his love of Catholic Education, memorials may be directed to The O'Brien Family Fund at St. Mary's Springs Academy, 255 County Road K, Fond du Lac, WI 54937.
